وكتب هاري وميغان عبر انستغرام أنه "بعد شهور عديدة من التفكير والمناقشات الداخلية، اخترنا إجراء تحول هذا العام"، وأوضحا أنهما يأملان في "القيام بدور جديد داخل هذه المؤسسة".
وقال هاري وميغان: "نعتزم التراجع كأعضاء "بارزين" في العائلة المالكة، ونعمل على أن نكون مستقلان ماليًا، مع الاستمرار في تقديم الدعم الكامل لصاحبة الجلالة الملكة".
