Update from the mayor's office of immigrant affairs related to disaster relief assistance for
immigrants in California

Dear community members,
I hope you find this update via email just fine. We communicate to provide a brief overview of the California Disaster Relief Migrant Program (DRAI) and the latest details shared.
DRAI is a one-time state-funded disaster relief assistance program for undocumented migrants affected by COVID-19. The program will provide $ 500 in direct assistance to those eligible, and $ 1,000 in maximum assistance per family. To qualify, individuals must be able to provide information stating that: 1) they are an undocumented adult (18 years or more); 2) Not eligible for COVID-19 federal assistance such as tax incentive payments under the CARES Act or epidemic unemployment benefits; 3) They experienced financial hardship as a result of COVID-19.
Eligible individuals who live in Los Angeles County can apply starting Monday, May 18, 2020 through the following nonprofits:

Starting May 18th, you can contact these organizations for more information about the application process and required verification documents. Note that they will not help individuals before May 18.
Please note that this program is not run by the City of Los Angeles. If you have any questions, please contact one of the organizations listed above.
